Setting up an ADSL connection using a Billion Bipac 5100 or 5100W series ADSL modem router

Connect the Router to your computer and the telephone line. Power on the device. Then click on Start, Programs, Internet Explorer. Type http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar at the top of the screen and press enter on your keyboard

Enter in admin as the User Name and admin as the Password in the box that appears.

You should now see the Site Map screen similar to the one below.

Click on Wizard Setup.
Ensure the Encapsulation is PPPoE.
Ensure that Multiplex is set to LLC.
Make sure that under the Virtual Circuit ID that the VPI is 8 and the VCI is 35.
Click Next.

Type in Vintek for the Service Name.
Enter your Username in the format of username@adsl.on.net and enter in your password.
Under the IP Address heading, ensure that Obtain an IP Address Automatically is selected
Leave the Idle Timeout as 0 seconds.
Select Full Feature as the Network Address Translation.
Click Next.

Verify that the settings shown on the screen are correct and then click Save Settings.

To test your Vintek internet connection, click Start Diagnose.
After the diagnose test is completed, click Return to Main Menu.
Click on Logout which is located on the left on the screen.
