Configuring Outlook 2000

Open Outlook. If a wizard pops up, close it.

Click on the Tools menu, and select Services. If you can not find services, click on the two downward facing arrows at the bottom of the menu.

Click on Add.

Select Internet Email and click OK.

Enter Vintek as the server name.
Type in your name or the name you want your email recipients to see.
Enter your email address and reply email address in the format of username@adelaide.on.net

Click on the Servers tab at the top of the box.
Enter the Incoming Mail (POP3), and Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server names as mail.adelaide.on.net
Type in your Account Name (Username) and your Password.
Ensure that the Remember Password box is ticked.

Click on the Connection Tab.
Choose Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN) if you are using a broadband connection, or choose Connect using my phone line if you are using a dial-up connection.
Click OK.
If the "Add Service To Profile" box pops up, then click OK.
Click on OK on the services box.

If you did not get the "Add Service To Profile" box, your email account should now be working, if you got the box, then click on the File menu and choose Exit and log off, then re-open Outlook and your email account should now be working.
