Vintek provided information technology support through multiple industries and grew as a result of needs within these industries.
Until recently Vintek has operated purely on recommendation from existing clients, and still today derives most of its business from referral. Vintek feels that a satisfied customer is our best advertisement.
In 1999, due to rapid expansion, Vintek was formed as a company. During this time Vintek has also established committed clients right throughout Australia. Vintek continues to experience exceptional growth, mostly through personal client recommendation.
During 2008 Vintek branched into network carriage, through its sister company Ossini, who is a licensed telecommunications carrier.
In 2009 Vintek won a regional TAFE (Technical and Further Education) award for providing employment for TAFE leavers in the region.
In 2011 Vintek launched its own datacentre in King William Street, Adelaide. In September 2012 due to ongoing growth Vintek relocated its whole office to 108 King William Street, Adelaide.
In 2009 Vintek became an IBM partner, winning the “best new partner award” for IBM in that year. Vintek has also been the first in SA to sell the X3690 servers, V7000 midrange storage devices and the first in Australia to sell the next-generation IBM PureFlex integrated server solution.
During 2012, 2013 and 2014 our Managing Director Paul Vinton was invited to and attended the IBM Global Partner Leadership Conference, an invitation only event for top IBM consultants and partners. He has been the only South Australian to attend in those years.
Also in 2012 Vintek won an IBM national “Business Partner Demonstration Excellence” award, beating significant competition from around Australia on excellence in client demonstration.
In 2013 Vintek became the first organisation in the Asic-Pacific rim to deploy a production environment of OpenFlow – a software defined networking (SDN) technology. Also that year Vintek becamse the the first organisation in the world to deploy IBM SDN VE – with IBM releasing a global story on Vintek and its achievements.
In 2015 Our Founder and CEO Paul Vinton won Entrepreneur of the Year with EY in the Central Region (tech sector).
In 2016 we purchased Intervolve – a national data centre business, with 9 data centres around Australia (2 are our own data centres), with two other locations in Auckland, New Zealand and Singapore.
In 2017 we won partner of the year with Fortinet for Australia/New Zealand. We also trained and certified the first Fortinet NSE8 certified engineer in the Australia/New Zealand region.
Late 2017 Vintek purchased Regal IT – a Sydney based MSP and Citrix house, giving Vintek coverage and local offices in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide.
In 2018 the Vintek Group won the Cylance Emerging Partner of the Year and the VEEAM ProPartner Rising Star of the Year awards, further cementing our focus on excellence and high technical certification.
Throughout its history Vintek has had a passion to consistently give new people an entry point into the IT industry, an area that is traditionally very hard to break into. Vintek has had on average over two trainees throughout our history and currently has five trainees and two current university students on staff.
Vintek look forward to a bright future by establishing strong relationships with clients, providing both quality of service and value-for-money.
